Blew Them Away!

Yesterday were Madrigal tryouts. I had been on the fence about trying out because I wasn't sure if I was going to go to school next year or not. I've been praying about it and I feel like I should go.... So I tried out. Monday was the day I decided that I was going to tryout so I called Bestest friend Brittany(Briana's Bestest) and asked her to help me find a song for tryouts. She came over with all of her song books in tow and gave me suggestions. I decided to go with Astonishing from Little Women the Musical. I just sang the last minute and a half. Britt recorded it for me so I could sing along to the piano without having to find someone to play for me. I practiced all week long. Britt came over Friday after choir class so she could help me fix anything that needed fixing. I sang it for her.... When it was over she turned around with her jaw on the ground. She said this "I didn't know you could sing like that. That was soooo GREAT!!! I don't even have anything for you to fix." She asked me to sing through it again and then she gave me a few pointers on how to impress D.(Mr. Dehaan) and then she left. I was feeling pretty confident.

I got to the school right on time. He had the soph's. sing their songs first then all the Jr's.(He doesn't put soph's into Mads.) He mixed the papers up so we would sing at random. I was in the middle. I had been so nervous all week and when one of the soph's. sang her whole face was shaking and it got me scared so I said a prayer that I would be able to sing the song the way Britt had heard me sing it. Then I sang my little heart out! I belted that song like there was no tomorrow. When I was finished I looked at D. and his face said it all. No one knew I could sing like that. I didn't even know I could sing like that. I went to get my music from D. and he told me that I had done a fantastic job. Now if you knew D. you would know that he doesn't give compliments lightly. In fact he hardly ever gives a compliment to anyone. It made me so happy to hear that. It put self esteem in my self esteem box. I blew everyone away!!! I got so many compliments and it made me feel so good. But the best one of all was from my big brother who said "How long have you been able to sing like that?" I replied with "A while." He said "How come I didn't know you could sing like that?" Me "I don't know." Tay " You did beyond belief!!!" Then he gave me a great big hug. Oh how I love my big brother. I am so blessed.

Driving To School

On my way to the school yesterday for choir I was pulled over.... I was scared out of my wits. I was going over everything I had done in the last 5 minutes. I had not done anything wrong.... He came to my window and the told me to roll it down(side note- The drivers side window in Buzz doesn't roll down.) So I opened the door. He asked me for my licence(side note- Yeah I have one of those!!! (:) I gave it to him. He went back to his car and he sat there for what seemed like EVER!!! I was so nervous I couldn't stop shaking. When he came back he told me that he had pulled me over cause the registration was expired.(side note-Ask me how I feel about that.... "Not happy Bob, Not happy") I signed a paper that said I would get it fixed and then I was on my way. I got to school late.... That always makes Mr. DeHaan very happy.... NOT! The day can't get any worse right?.... After choir I went outside to my car and it was raining. (side note- Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh, but my lips hurt real bad.) We might be able to call this a Awful Horrible No Good Dirty Rotten Day.

It is a WOPPING 43* outside today!!! Perfect swinging weather!!! There are no coulds in the sky just the big bright yellow sun!!! How Spectacular is that?!?!

I HATE THE QUIET!!!

I turn on music anytime I can and my family hates it! My sister calls me a music slut because of it. What they don't know is that I hate when it's quiet.

I think I'm scared of silence.... Is that possible?.... I don't know why I'm scarred of it but I am....

The house is empty right now.... Bells doesn't even have the decency to bark or something. So I'm listening to my playlist.... It makes me feel better. :)

Wonderful Mama

About a month ago I finished my Personal Progress. I told my mama that it would be so super cool if she could get hers done and then we could get our Medallions together. She has been working tirelessly since then to get it done.

One of her projects is making baby blankets to give to the hospital so they can give them to the parents who have lost their baby's. I wanted to participate because it is a wonderful cause and because I wanted to support my mama in her efforts to finish her personal progress.

I am crocheting a baby blanket. It is not the most beautiful blanket in the world and it looks nothing like the ones my mama has made. But.... it is made with love. Love for my Mama and all the thought and effort she has put into this project. And love for all the parents who have lost their sweet little babies.

My mama teaches by example.... She has taught me many things in my life. And now she is teaching me, and everyone else around her, how to love all of Heavenly Father's children. We already know that we should love them, but by taking some time out of your busy schedual to make a baby blanket for those who have lost some one so precious to their hearts, that is how we show that we do love them and think about them and care about them.

I don't know who will get my crudely made blanket, but I do know that whoever gets it will know that I made it with all the love in my heart.

All of these things I know to be true. I know cause my mama taught me so. She is the most WONDERFUL Mama anyone could ask for! I am grateful for her and all that she teaches me!

Un-Valentines-Day (:

My Bestest Friend and I are have an Un-Valentines-Day (: party/"date" this comming Friday. Because she can't do it on Saterday which is the day of the Sweethearts dance at school. She isn't old enough to go and I don't have enough money to go. All of our other friends are going though so it will just be the two of us at this party(three is a crowed right?). We decided that the theme will be DISNEY and we could watch all sorts of disney movies. She suggested this list...

I got so excited because we owned all of these movies except Peter Pan!!!! And then I remember the tragity that occured this summer..... It includes my mom throwing all of our VHS's away!!!! We all constantly remind her of this because now instead of having all of these movies we have 4 of them. ONLY FOUR!!!!! How heart CRUSHING(because on BONES it says that the heart is a muscle and therefore can not be broken only crushed.) is that!!!! So I don't know what we will do. Any ideas?

A Full Wallet

I have a very Cute Superman Wallet.

And latley it has been very empty looking.

But not today!

Because on Saterday I was paid for my babysitting services.

Which means there are DOLLARS in my Cute Superman Wallet!!!!!!

And today I got a letter in the mail from the Utah Department of Public Saftey Driver Licence Division.

Which means I have a Utah Driver Certificate or Identification Card in my Cute Superman Wallet!!!!

Which means I HAVE A DRIVERS LICENCE!!!!! In my Cute Superman Wallet!

WOOT!!!!!

YEA ME!!!!!
