One of Those Days...

Have you ever had one of those days? You know the kind that are just wonderful no matter what! That is my day today. No matter if my little brother yells at me. My day just can't go wrong! I got to talk to my teacher Ms. Eddings. I e-mailed my friends from Entheos. And I've been listening to my music. You can't get any better than that.....

But wait it does!

My older brother and I are going to the temple today! You want to know why?..... Because it's friday and that is what we do on Fridays!

But wait there's more!

I don't have school today! And yesterday I learned that after one very hard week of very hard work! I have a 3.3GPA! instead of a 1.4! WOOT! GO ME!!!!!! :)

And yet again there is more!

I went through my portfolio and I had forgotten how much I love my Entheos! But I'm just so happy to be at high school!

YES there is more!

My best friend Katie Abbott and I texted eachother all morning! I love my best friend! As a friend you know!

MORE!!!!!!

It is pink and yellow friday! And I am wearing my "new" Sharpay skirt! That my mom so graciously bought for me last saterday! (THANKS MOM!!!)

It just can't get better than today!!!!
I love life! And I love the people in my life!

Thanks for being so Spectacular!!!!!!!

Grandpa A. and my History Project

It has been a while since I've bloged and I feel like I should. In my history class we are writing eight page research papers. FUN!

N-O-T!!!!!!

But lucky for me I have a wonderful grandpa who has helped me a ton. I'm writing about WWII. But I chose that subject because my great grandpa served in WWII and I thought that it would be cool to learn about what he did and what it was like durring the war. I have always been scared to ask great grandpa A. about the war stuff because if you ask my mom or my grandparents or my aunts or uncles... Talking about the war gives him nightmares. So my spectacular grandpa fish has most willingly given me all the info that he has gathered over the years from grandpa A.

It is all very interseting and I have loved the stories that grandpa fish has shared with me. I hope as I go futher in depth that I will learn more and be able to write this paper.

I have come to the conclusion that my grandpa A. is a hero. Not because he did some amazing things in the war and lived, but because he doesn't believe that he is a hero. He has taught me that sometimes when you don't feel like what you did matters to someone else it does. Because of what my grandpa A. did I want to be momre like him. He is my hero and I hope one day I will get up enough courage to tell him so.

I hope I can tell his stories well. I hope that when I write about him and the war as a whole I can do it with respect.

I'm so very greatful for my grandpa A. and for my grandpa fish who has so willingly shared grandpa A.'s stories with me. Thanks Grandpa! I love you lots and lots!

AIDA

I was in our school musical, and we did the play AIDA. It was onederful!!!!!!! I had so much fun! and I met new people and I now have tons and tons of friends! One of my friends names is Quint.
I need to clarify that I've known him since 2nd grade. We have always been really good friends. I got to know him a little bit better over the time I was in the play and I learned a few things...

1. He is a total flirt.

2. He makes me smile a lot! I love that!

3. He is one of the best guy friends I've ever had because he's just so dang funny.

4. He treats women, girls, and children with respect and at the high school that is a HUGE thing!

5. He is very helpful if you ask him to do something he will do it without question. He just says "Yes of course I'll help" (no joke)

He is the best!
I also met Mariah Pugmire. She is in my choir class and she is my mentor but also she was Taylor's friend last year and this year too. I have fell "in love" with her! She is my new best friend! For a couple of reasons...

1. She is beautiful but doesn't think so... in other words she is very humble.

2. She is always happy! She makes everyone around her smile and that makes me happy inside!

3. She is LDS. Which is always a big bonus, she sticks to her standards and so she is a great example to me!

4. She is kind to everyone!

I have met so many other people(I got a new "sister" during this play! She's the bomb!) that I have come to love and appreciate! I wish I could name them all and tell you what I love about them but it would take me hours to type!
I have loved being in this show and I love that I made new friends! I hope they will remember me as much as I will remember them!

3. My siblings, even though sometimes they get on my nerves, they are always there for me when I need them! And I will always be grateful for that!

4. My teachers, not only at school but at church too. They are all amazing! And I'm grateful that they take the time to teach me.

5. My wonderful friends, they always know how to make me laugh! I love them! I don't know what my life would be like without them.

6. My grandparents, all of them are marvelous! They always make me smile and I hope I make them smile as well! I love you all so so so much!

7. Anyone who doesn't fall under any of these categories, I'm sorry I left you out! I love you all!

Thank you one and all for always being there for me! You don't know how much it means to me to have such wonderful people like yourselves in my life! You always make life go easier. I love you all and hope very much that you will always remember it! Happy Thanksgiving!

"I" vs. "Him"

how many times do you think you say "I" in one day?
I was talking to my best friend earlier today and she has a teacher who is in the army and they e-mail eachother all the time. she was telling me that he has seemed really depressed lately. She didn't know how to respond to his last e-mail and so I had her read it to me a couple times and I realizthat not once in that e-mail did he say "I" or "me". I find that very impressive. He talked about them and we and us but never once I.
I can't help but think what courage that must take. To only ever think of others. How do you do that? How can you just forget yourself and only think about the people you love and the people who love you?
I love all of my friends and family and even just my acquaintances. but I can't think of one day that I only thought of them. He thinks of only these people. People he doesn't even know. He worries for them and fights for them. If only everyone in the world had that piece of mind.If only everyone cared. What would the world be like then? Peaceful? Safe? Scary? Unsafe? Happy?
How many times do you think you say "I" in one day?
I know that I say it a lot. I hope that doesn't make me selfish. I hope to be more like this man who can think of one else but the people he loves and some people he doesn't even know. I think we should all be more like him and remember to love everyone and care for them.
